John is a co-owner of The Hossack. He has been hunting, fishing and birdshooting for over 40 years and has travelled the world following his passion for the great outdoors. John has been managing The Hossack’s big game hunting business since 2004. He takes great pride in guiding hunters to the top quality trophies that live in The Hossack’s mountains, river valleys and native bush.
Jeremy has loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing since he was a young child in the New Zealand countryside, and eventually turned this passion into a career as a Professional Hunting Guide.
Jeremy hunts when he can (although not as much as he would like to) using both rifle and bow. Two good friends in Arizona introduced him to bow hunting and he has spent many hours with them trying to get close to Coues Deer! This has made Jeremy a much better hunter and guide and he enjoys the challenge of guiding bowhunters.
Jeremy has guided for several different companies in 4 countries.
Pete was brought up on a farm on the West Coast of the South Island in an area that is renowned for its dense native bush, lush river flats and black fallow deer herds.
He shot his first fallow with a .22 from 30 yards as a plucky 10yr old and has hunted them ever since, although more for the challenge of stalking up to within a stone's throw distance rather than shooting them these days. He loves the challenge that hunting fallow deer provides and enjoys sharing his knowledge with the many hunters who come to hunt the wily fallow buck.
Nothing's a problem for Pete. Whether chief cook and bottle washer, firewood provider or game butcher, Pete throws his hand into anything to ensure a memorable hunt for all who visit The Hossack. Pete likes to share the odd joke or two as well.
