Thank you and the guys (Matt, Stephen and Ollie) for such a great trip. The Hossack is magnificent. The trip and the hunt were all that I looked forward too and more. The vast area of your station gave us a great sense of the beauty and diversity of the country, the number and quality of the game animals was incredible, and the meals and lodging at the bunkhouse were perfect for the hunt.

What exceeded my expectations was the sense of belonging and familiarity of the whole experience. It felt a lot like a great hunt at home in Nevada with a group of close friends; everybody hunted hard, walked hard, glassed hard, and had a great time talking about the day over dinner and a nice bottle of wine. You guys are wonderful hosts, and you hunt the way we like to hunt.

John, as you know, the trip was my son Tyler's birthday trip. To see him plan the trip, make all of the arrangements, get more and more excited as the trip drew near, and then bag a gold medal Red Deer stag and a gold medal Fallow buck was a priceless experience for a father. Then, to have my own father along made it even more special. My dad has always wanted to see New Zealand. You and Stephen were incredible hosts to make sure that he was included and had hikes and a chance to see the station. He got a special kick out of hanging out with the Manager and watching him work the livestock with his dogs. You guys were also great with my son's buddy, Dan, on his first hunt. He had a great time and shot his first deer. We threw you a lot of curve balls, and you guys handled all of the different needs of the different guests with skill and good humor. I had a great time hunting with you and getting to know you. The 12 point Red Deer stag that I harvested was a great highlight of the trip for me, but I also had a great time shooting pigs, fishing and seeing your beautiful property. Awesome trip, and one that I definitely plan to do again. Please call me if you ever find yourself in Reno again, and I will do my best to reciprocate on the hospitality.
